Teammateconnection.com is a social utility website that has recently launched. Teammateconnection.com is the creation of Norma Schulz and the main purpose is to allow people to connect and find teams, players and other people that have similar sports interests. The website is free to join and is aimed solely at helping local people connect.
The foundation of this website came from a bulletin board at a local basketball gym.
“I was at my 10-year old son’s basketball game and was sitting outside of the gym in the lobby, and noticed a large bulletin board filled with flyers,” says Schulz. “Looking at this board, I noticed that many of the flyers all contained similar information from parents regarding car pools and future teams.
“I also noticed that almost all of the people walking around the lobby completely disregarded the bulletin bored and would not even dare to take any time to shuffle through the mess of papers tacked on the board. I thought to myself that a cluttered bulletin board was not the most effective and efficient way of getting a message across. So, I decided that since people spend a majority of their time on their computers and surfing the internet that the best way for people to post information would be through the web.”
Schulz searched to see if she could find such a website, but each search came up unsuccessful. So, Norma decided to fix that problem and develop her own. “Teammateconnection.com allows users to find people quicker and faster and more efficiently.” Norma just wants to eliminate the hassle of finding teams, parents, players, leagues, or whatever an athlete or parent needs. Ultimately, Norma wants this concept to spread across the country, but as of right now, the website is targeted toward the Tulsa area. “This website is for Anyone. Any Age. Any Sport. Anywhere.”
