David Gordon, a senior at East Central, verbally committed to Arkansas recently. Being the outstanding wide receiver/cornerback that Gordon is Arkansas had trouble trying to score a player of his caliber. David had his choice of schools when he pulled off 217 yards, eleven catches, six touchdowns, three interceptions and one for a touchdown, only as a junior. Many other schools were drooling over Gordon, such as Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, Tulsa and OSU. David has been time with a 4.4 40-yard dash and a 10.41- 100 meter and at the 5A state track meet received four gold medals. All of this combined makes David Gordon one of the states top recruits for 2009.
