Page, Clarke Shine at Faith 7 All-Star Game

OU signee, Willie Warren, pours in a game-record 41 points for Texas
Keiton Page and Rotnei Clarke hadn’t played on the same team together since their junior high days in Yale, but the top two all-time scoring leaders in state history put together a dynamic show in Shawnee during the Faith 7 All-Star game against Texas in June.
Page broke the scoring record for an Oklahoma team in the annual all-star game with 37 points, while Clarke followed with 29. The duo led Oklahoma to a 121-101 victory over a Willie Warren-led Texas team. Warren, a guard from North Crowley High School in Ft. Worth, Texas, took top scoring honors with an all-time high 41 points.
Saturday’s matchup between Page and Warren showcased what could be a fierce battle in the Big 12 Conference over the next several years as Page will continue his career at Oklahoma State, while Warren will play at Oklahoma. Warren was also spectacular at the McDonald’s All-American game in March when he finished with a game-high 23 points in just 22 minutes of playing time.
Clarke, a University of Arkansas signee, is the state’s all-time scoring leader. He finished his career at Verdigris with 3,758 points. Page followed in second with 3,709 career points. Page holds the single-season mark for points with 1,287 and averaged 44.4 points per game during his senior season at Pawnee.
It was Warren who went off offensively to keep Texas close as he scored 25 of his points in the first half, including 16 points in the final five minutes to get Texas to within 53-51. But Texas was never able to get closer. Warren shot 15-of-26 overall from the floor and added six rebounds and a pair of steals. The 6-foot-3 highlight reel also won the slam dunk contest.
Page, a 5-foot-10 guard, finished 11-of-19 shooting and was 11-of-13 from the foul line. Page also contributed with three assists. The 6-foot-1 Clarke shot 9-of-22 overall and posted three assists and three steals.
Page’s biggest scoring outburst came during the final 4:48 of the first quarter as he dropped in 11 points to give Oklahoma a 30-17 advantage.
Page, Clarke and Warren were each 4-for-10 from beyond the 3-point line.
Memorial’s Blaise Staab also finished in double figures from Oklahoma with 10 points. Staab pulled down nine rebounds, matching Midwest City’s Chuck Sanders for a team high. Mark Rutledge of Edison added 10 points and eight boards. East Central’s Ken Holdman scored eight points.
