What did you do for summer vacation, or what do you wish you had done?
What did you do for summer vacation, or what do you wish you had done?
Pat McGrew
Bixby High School
Well, I had a good summer. I was able to travel and coach at the same time. I coached a CSI (Competitive Sports International) game. I also had time for coaching a game in Hawaii with my wife. The fun didn’t stop this past weekend. I went to a ballgame with some friends and my wife and was able to enjoy it from box seats. “It was a blast!”

Summer Vacation: Let me see, well I have not been anywhere so far. I have spent most of my break here at Booker T., between running my summer pride program (along with my passing game coordinator: Scotty Gilkey) and working on the BTW Historical Building I have not had much time to do anything. But, my wife is on my case about getting some things wrapped up so that we can take a trip in early August. Most of my evenings are spent playing video games with family and friends. Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every Summer our family tries to get away to either the beach or lake for vacation. This year we are going to Table Rock Lake in Branson, Mo. The family loves water sports so a week of fishing, boating, skiing, swimming and of course enjoying Branson. It will be a great week of fun.

Summer vacation in Oklahoma High School Athletics is a rare occurrence. We did take two weeks off after our team football camp and then went right back to work with individual camps and summer pride. As with almost everyone I wish we had more time to spend as a family taking a trip or being together.
