Lovejoy, Aubrey To Play For State

Lovejoy and Aubrey will have the chance to bring two volleyball state championships back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Lovejoy (42-7) earned the chance to defend its Class 3A state title with a come-from-behind win over Wimberley, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 15-5 in a semifinal.

The Lady Leopards will play Monahans (41-7) at 1 p.m. today at Texas State in San Marcos.

Aubrey (37-9) will play Poth (37-10) for the Class 2A state title today at 11 a.m.

Aubrey outlasted Peaster 15-25, 25-23, 25-18, 28-26 in a semifinal.
