These guys have plenty of reasons to smile. Daryn Alves, Ryan Mossakowski and Rex Burkhead are just a few of the great players who will be making history and headlines in Collin County this season.

Alves, one of the state's most prolific rushers, is tasked with leading McKinney Boyd from Class 4A to one of the toughest districts in Class 5A. Mossakowski's cannon of an arm is shooting him to the top of state recruiting lists. And Burkhead returns as one of the state's most feared offensive juggernauts on a Plano team picked to make another run at a state title.
