West’s Kiser, Plano’s Griffiths voted 9-5A MVPs
Plano Independent School District players and coaches ruled 9-5A all-district baseball and softball honors, Plano earning 11 out of 14 individual awards.
Plano West’s Kale Kiser and Plano’s Brittany Griffiths were named Most Valuable Players after helping their teams to the playoffs.
West players Jason Coats and Christina Roosmalen swept Offensive Player of the Year awards.
West third baseman Donald Plant and Allen shortstop Alex Yarbrough shared Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Taylor Jones of Plano East was voted softball Pitcher of the Year. Wylie’s Jake Feckley was named baseball Pitcher of the Year.
West baseball coach Kendall Clark was named Coach of the Year and Plano’s Cynthia Zea was selected softball Coach of the Year.
