John Paul II, PCA, TCA players lead TAPPS all-district soccer teams
Collin County private schools were well represented on 2008 TAPPS All-District soccer teams.
John Paul II senior Erik Garciamendez was voted Offensive Most Valuable Player of District 1-I. Junior teammate John Kandane was named the district’s Newcomer of the Year. John Paul II junior Matt Florance was elected to the first team.
Trinity Christian Academy seniors Bear Murchison and Branden Carreker were named to the first team.
Courtney Messina was the lone 1-I all-district representative for John Paul II’s girls team that reached the TAPPS state semifinals.
The District 1-II team was led by Prestonwood Christian Academy sophomore Blake Wise, who was named Co-Player of the Year.
Prestonwood Christian’s girls players dominated the individual awards for District 2-II. Senior Alyssa Palmacci was voted Offensive Player of the Year and teammate Casey Davis was named Defensive Player of the Year.
