We asked three coaches who they thought would win this year's state soccer title.
We asked three coaches who they thought would win this year's state soccer title.
Gordon Drummond
Norman boys coach
I believe that Jenks is the team to beat on the East side of the state and Edmond Memorial on the West side. Jenks is young and an up and coming team after winning the championship a couple of years ago. Edmond Memorial has a lot of talented players back and they have got some good transfers. They had a good chance to win the state title last year, and have a good chance this year.
Mike Mason
Mustang girls coach
I think Edmond North is. They've been to the finals the last two years so they have the experience. They lost a couple of players, but they added a few and their other players have matured. They are extremely strong, fast and talented. They also have two really good goalkeepers.
Chris Brewster
Santa Fe South boys coach
It has to be Cascia Hall. They have won the last two state titles, and I hear that they are really strong again. It's time for someone to knock them off, but for now they are the favorites. Cascia Hall, Bishop McGuinness and Heritage Hall are the teams that are tough in our class.
