It’s August, and while the season doesn’t officially start for a few more weeks, there’s plenty to look forward to for football season. We know the heat has got to be the worst part of August football, but what’s the best part? We asked the coaches. Here’s what they said:
Andy Bogert
Heritage Hall
The best is the first day getting back to practice. New team, new personality, optimism is off the charts.
Dal Nichols
El Reno Football
The best part of getting started in August is the excitement and the anticipation of everything. Everyone is undefeated and thinks they have a shot at the state championship. The newness is great. The popsicles from the cheerleaders are a close second.
Mike Whaley
Westmoore
The best is that it starts the school year off with a bang.
