There were several impressive performances by teams on Friday in Week 6 of the high school football season. Here is a review of some of the most notable games:

Tuttle 35, Clinton 14
Tuttle made a statement with its win against nemesis Clinton, snapping a three-game losing streak to the Red Tornadoes. The Top-ranked Tigers showed why they are the best team in Class 3A, scoring more than 30 points in a game for the fifth straight time. Tuttle, which improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in District 3A-1, had its closest game of the year against Clinton and still won by 21 points.

Bethany 37, Madill 30 OT
Bethany keeps scoring a lot of points and keeps winning the close games. This time it was against Madill in a game featuring two Class 3A ranked teams. Bethany has won five straight games since losing its season opener, scoring 30 or more points in all of the wins. The Bronchos have won three of those five games by eight points or less.

Deer Creek 21, Duncan 14
Deer Creek entered the week ranked in the Class 5A rankings for the first time this season and backed it up with a close win against a talented Duncan team. Deer Creek quarterback Dax Dilbeck had another impressive performance and the defens stepped up with several big stops in the second half for the win.

El Reno 31, Lawton MacArthur 14
In the biggest upset of the week, and possibly of the season thus far, unranked El Reno beat Class 5A's second ranked Lawton MacArthur by three scores. El Reno had come into the game with two losses against unranked teams while Lawton MacArthur had scored 49 or more points in the past four games, winning each game by more than 20 points. But El Reno shut down the Highlanders high-powered running game to collect the huge upset.
