The folks in Idabel know a thing or two about football. Nestled in the far southeast corner of the state, the Warriors boast a gridiron tradition as strong as any.

“It’s great playing in a program with so much tradition,” said Kyle Gray, a senior linebacker and tackle. “We know that 5-5 isn’t going to cut it around here, so we take a lot of pride in carrying it on.”

And while Idabel’s location is a long haul for most opponents, it’s a team just a few miles down the road that is circled each year on the calendar - Broken Bow.

“There is a lot of talk about that game all year long,” said Gray. “We also know that a bad season can be a lot better if one of the wins is against Broken Bow.”
