We’re here to help.

Commence the arguing.

Start the insanity.

Flip the pages.

It’s Oklahoma, it’s football season, and here at HSSTM Central Oklahoma, despite the fact that we’re rookies, we know what this time of the year means.

Sure, we made it in time for the playoffs a year ago, but this season, we’re going through our first two-a-days, summer workouts and district schedule. We’re ready.

Are you?

Start reading, there’s a debate on every page.

We’ve got rankings – always worth a conversation or two – there are playoff predictions and possibilities for every team. There’s Tucker Brown, and no one around these parts has started more fights, debates and arguments than the Shawnee quarterback has.

Of course, in between all that, there’s Norman and Norman North, the newest debate, but one that takes on the classic form of Jenks-Union, Moore-Westmoore or Auburn-Alabama. In the foreground, it’s a game that’s played at OU, kicks off the season and divides the town’s high school allegiances.

But dig a bit deeper and there’s more to the game. Norman High has lost just once in school history to North, but it was last year in the playoffs, so the Timberwolves go into the season opener with a one-game winning streak.

There’s a pair of transfers from Norman to North and there’s also the feeling that the balance of power has a distinctive North face to it.

It’s the ultimate debate: Old School vs. New.

And just think, it’s only August. The season hasn’t even really got going yet.
