This is your magazine.

It’s your town, your kids, your teams.

This issue, which kicks off our second year in Central Oklahoma, is living proof and it shows right here inside these pages.

Check out our main feature with four stories on four kids from four schools. Interesting stories, all of them, but more interesting considering the stories were written not by an outsider, freelancer or an off-site journalist.

Instead we went to the source. We went to the schools, found the players and employed the writers.

Ben Luschen at Classen, J.C. Wright at Edmond Memorial, Skylar Horton at Carnegie and Austin Feuerborn at Mustang took time away from the court, the track and the field and took time to write these stories worth telling.

Better them then us. After all, these are the people who know them best. They’re the teammates. Friends. Students. All of them with a perspective different from others.

Remember this is your magazine, and because our student writers did so well this month, we’re going to give it another try for our February issue.

We want you to tell us what stories are out there and put it into prose. Check page XXX for details on how you can get involved and highlight someone at your school for our upcoming February issue.

HSSTM is all about you. Read on this month to find out exactly what we mean.
