Norman North has new soccer coach

The Norman North girls soccer program has its second coach in school history. Theresa Willis replaces Jay Coleman, who resigned at the end of the soccer season in May. He was the school's lone girl's soccer coach. That is until Willis, who will take over the Timberwolves. Broken Arrow QB wins QB Challenge

Some of the best quarterbacks in the state took part in the second Top Gun Quarterback Challenge on Saturday and Sunday at Edmond Memorial High School. Quarterbacks and wide receivers will get a lot of practice and training this week in the Southwest Air Camp. The three-day camp is for quarterbacks and wide receivers starting Tuesday and running through until Thursday at the Putnam City West High School practice field. VYPE High School Sports Magazine will be in Oklahoma City for a week from July 27-Aug. 1 for All-State week and the Oklahoma Coaches Association clinics. Former Stillwater standout Brett Anderson is heading to the Olympics in Beijing after being named to the USA baseball team. He was one of 24 players selected to play in the Olympics, which begins in early August. Several area high school golfers are competing in the Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur match play tournament this week. Chambers wins golf tournament

Purcell golfer Nathan Chambers captured the 2008 Twin Hills Junior Classic on July 2 at the Twin Hills Golf and Country Club. Chambers shot a 4-under par two round score of 144 to win the tournament.
