Maize High placed third at the Class 6A state soccer tournament. Following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Olathe South in the state semifinal, Stevie Warner and Maize defeated Wichita Southeast 4-0 in the consolation match. Southeast’s Jordan Saybounkhan battles Warner for the ball.
