Best Season Ever

Behind the bats of Stephanie Drake and Rachel Phillips, Halstead softball has compiled a 17-1 record, a record number of wins in a single season for the program. Halstead has a remaining doubleheader against Lyons on Tuesday. 

Halstead coach Jason Wilson also says the team's 31 wins over the past two seasons is the most in school history.

Drake and Phillips are both batting over .600 for the season. After losing in the regional final last season, Halstead is a favorite to make the state tournament. Their regional this season includes: Belle Plaine, Douglass, Eureka, Halstead, Bluestem, Sedgwick and Wichita Collegiate.
