Spring Snowstorms

It is March 29, and as I look out the window to watch the 45-degree day erase this year's "snowstorm" of the century, it reminds me of the "snowstorm" of activity here at VYPE and how quickly things change, like the weather! Last issue I told you about the creation of Inspired Koncepts - a new media company in the Wichita area that has merged four separate targeted media outlets. This single, strategically-aligned organization delivers a targeted media solution for businesses to reach and attract a monthly customer base of over 120,000+ engaged readers through print, online and event products. Our products include VYPE, Splurge Magazine, The Wichita Hi-Lighter and The Spotlight on Wichita. The merger will make VYPE stronger and give us the ability to expand! That means we can do an even better job of covering student athletes, their teams, coaches, schools, families and communities! One way VYPE is expanding immediately is in our commitment to events this spring and summer! One of VYPE's core strategies is to connect the student athlete with our sponsors with a goal of providing additional awareness and benefit to the participating schools. And finally, some BIG news about a BIG partnership with our BIG friends at Mel Hambelton Ford and BIG Corner Creative! Mel Hambelton Ford has formed a partnership with VYPE to dramatically increase the coverage of high school athletics in the area! Beginning this fall, Mel Hambelton and VYPE will be presenting coverage of high school athletics on Friday nights on KNSS radio! (One of the strongest AM signals in the area!) From 6pm to 10pm every Friday, we will broadcast an area football game and provide updates from other games in the area including the Presto Greatest Show on Turf game. Our coverage will also expand beyond football and into the basketball season! Mel Hambelton Ford and VYPE have other BIG plans to expand our commitment to local student athletes! Stay tuned!
