Smelling Roses

Central Kansas, KS

Friday, December 26, 2008

A year after being a .500 team, the Rose Hill boys are back in the 4A conversation. They were not ranked by the coaches association before winter break, but that was an oversight. Coach Rocky Stone has this program back where it was two years ago. Rose Hill sprinted through the regular season with one loss only to get upset by Wellington in the second round of sub-state. Rose Hill beat Wellington 63-55 in their last game before the break. Six-foot-three point guard Tyler Shirley, Dillon Rapp and Caleb Brown each scored 13 points in the game. Rose Hill is 5-0 and poised to make a run at the Andover schools once again for pre-eminence in the area. The concentration of teams at the top in 4A boys ball once again resides on Andover Road. Rose Hill has Andover Central at home on January 27, and go to Andover High on February 3.
