Week Eight Area Scoreboard

Week eight provided some more enticing match-ups and set the stage for some critical elimination games for teams across Kansas next week. Derby beat Wichita East, which sets up two more important match-ups in District 6 next season. Someone won't make the playoffs, with Derby in the strongest position to do so. Goddard went to 2-0 in District 8 after losing their first six games. Kapaun, Carroll, and Hutchinson all moved to 2-0 in Class 5A. Wellington and Clearwater got wins in competitive 4A District 13. Cunningham suffered its first defeat at the hands of Quivira Heights in 8-man Division II.
