Yesterday, the Kansas State High School Activities Association released the list of enrollments of participant schools. The enrollments are based on this year's 10-12th grade enrollment as of September 22nd. Notable changes on the classification list for area schools include Andover Central's move up to Class 5A. Valley Center remains in Class 5A, with the lowest enrollment of any Class 5A school. Andover High School is the largest school in Class 4A with 503 students. Wichita Independent and Wichita Trinity Academy both move to Class 4A. Hutchinson Trinity is the smallest school in Class 3A with 122 students.
