Jefferson and Taylor Honored By GWASC

Wichita Southeast basketball Carl Taylor was honored as the high school coach of the year for male sports teams at the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission banquet Friday night. Taylor, who turned the Southeast program around in the early 1990s, won his third 6A state title with the Buffs in nine years this past March. Also honored was Stana Jefferson, the Andover Central girls basketball coach. Having led the Jaguars to an undefeated 26-0 season and a 4A state title this past March, Jefferson was named the high school coach of the year for female sports teams.
