Gold at Golden West for Ledesma

J'Lynn Ledesma of Wellington High followed up her Class 4A high jump state title with another win at a national tournament on June 7 in Folsom, Calif. Ledesma, who jumped 5'8" three times during the high school season, jumped 5'6" to win gold at the Golden West Invitational track meet, for which athletes must qualify by meeting set standards. Ledesma, a three-sport athlete at Wellington, participating in cross country and basketball in addition to track, will return for the Crusaders as a senior next year. An all league performer in cross country and basketball, Ledesma won league, regional and state high jump titles this past spring.
