Phil Temple

CEO/Publisher

Phil Temple is the CEO/Publisher of VYPE High School Sports Magazine in Central Indiana. Phil has nearly 20 years of sales experience and has a deep passion for sports. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, his favorite teams are the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers. He is married to Jennifer Temple (President of VYPE Central Indiana) and has three sons, Jonathan, Jordan and Joel.

Jennifer Temple

President / Editorial Director

Jennifer Temple is the President and Editorial Director of VYPE High School Sports Magazine in Central Indiana. Prior to launching HSSTM/VYPE with her husband, Phil Temple (CEO/Sales Director), Jennifer worked for WorldTek/NCAA and VMS. She has two children, Tyler and Ashley.

Bill Benner

Contributing Editor

Bill Benner brings 40-plus years of experience and his well-known writing style to VYPE High School Sports Magazine. A regular contributor to the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) and former sports columnist for The Indianapolis Star, Bill writes an opinion column for VYPE. Currently, Bill works for the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association.
Richard Torres

Managing Editor

Rich Torres is the Managing Editor of VYPE High School Sports Magazine in Central Indiana. An award-winning journalist in both sports writing and graphic design, Rich has nearly a decade of sports reporting experience in Central Indiana. Prior to joining VYPE, Rich, a native of Gary, Ind., covered everything from high schools to the NFL, NBA, IRL and the NCAA at The Herald Bulletin in Anderson. A graduate from both Ball State University and Andrean High School, his favorite sports teams are the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Rich and his wife, Jenny, reside in Fishers.

Mark Morrow

Online Columnist/Copyeditor

Mark Morrow, an award-winning journalist for both sports stories and headline writing, spent 45 years in the newspaper business. He's a three-time Indiana finalist for the National Sportswriters-Sportscasters Association Sportswriter of the Year award. He took early retirement in January, 2009, after 25 years with Indianapolis newspapers, the last 12 as a Sports Copy Editor at The Star. He has written exclusively for VYPE ever since. Morrow published his book,"Have Laptop, Did Travel, a newspaper journalist's memoirs on sports' grandest stage in December, 2008. Morrow served as assistant sports editor at The Kokomo Tribune in the early 1970s and was sports editor of the Michigan City News-Dispatch from 1975-81.
Katey Burns

VYPE Intern

I'm Katey Burns. I'm a sophomore at Fishers High School where I am co-editor of the yearbook staff. I am also on the speech team (Forensics Force), and I write for their newsletter. I spend my free time volunteering for College Mentors for Kids whenever possible. I love animals as well; I am becoming a ZooTeen and a Llama Trekker through 4-H. I am extremely interested in theatre. I love attending productions and covering them. VYPE is cool. Yay!

I'm Lauren Brewer. I'm a junior at Fishers High School where I am the photo director of the yearbook and news magazine staff. Photography is a big part of my life. I've been interested in photography since I was 3. Sports is my favorite thing to capture. I love sports so much that I am a wrestling and football manager. Since I love sports so much, VYPE is a really awesome place to intern.
