WTHR AND VYPE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS MAGAZINE ANNOUNCE GAME OF THE WEEK PARTNERSHIP

INDIANAPOLIS – Beginning this Friday, Aug. 28, WTHR and VYPE High School Sports Magazine are joining forces to spotlight a local high school football and basketball "Game of the Week." The "Operation Football Live" and "Operation Basketball Live" games will be telecast every Friday night on WTHR’s Universal Sports Network Channel 13.3 (also available on Comcast cable systems). The first game to be telecast will be the Hamilton Southeastern at Fishers game this Friday at 7 p.m.

"We are pleased to welcome VYPE as a partner in our high schools sports coverage," said WTHR President and General Manager Jim Tellus. "They have an excellent product with great distribution throughout Central Indiana area high school communities schools. The addition of VYPE as a partner in our long-standing Operation Football and Basketball franchises makes perfect sense."

In addition to promoting and covering the games, VYPE will generate excitement for the live telecasts by hosting pregame tailgate celebrations while distributing free copies of its monthly magazine. VYPE will also sponsor a "Text to Win" sports memorabilia prize contest each game for those fans attending in person and also those watching the telecast from home.

"WTHR is a dominant and creative force in covering high school athletics in Central Indiana," said VYPE CEO/Publisher Phil Temple. "We are extremely excited to be involved and look forward to developing a great relationship."
