VYPE Foundation Gives Back to Central Indiana High School Sports Programs!

(INDIANAPOLIS – June 29, 2010) – Central Indiana schools with sports programs that are struggling because of reduced funding will get a boost from a new foundation created by VYPE High School Sports Magazine in Central Indiana. John Zwitt, athletic director for Center Grove High School, said the challenges faced by schools are not unique to his school. “Funding shortfalls have had a direct impact on all extracurricular programs, including sports and IHSAA programs. We are all looking at severely reduced budgets, salary cuts or coaching jobs eliminated and an increased financial burden on the families whose students participate in the programs,” he said. IHSAA AND VYPE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS MAGAZINE® TEAM UP AGAIN FOR THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR

The Indiana High School Athletic Association and VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana) have extended their partnership agreement through the 2009-10 school year. This partnership allows VYPE and the IHSAA to combine their passions of promoting and supporting high school student-athletes in a positive manner. THREE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL EVENTS SCHEDULED AT LUCAS OIL STADIUM IN 2009-10

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Local sales and marketing firm Compton Strategies announced today that it has scheduled three major high school football events for the upcoming 2009 season. The lineup includes impressive rival match-ups: Warren Central vs. Ben Davis; Cathedral vs. Chatard; Mooresville vs. Franklin; Greenfield Central vs. New Palestine; Guerin Catholic vs. Brebeuf; Martinsville vs. Bloomington South; and Noblesville vs. Brownsburg. FOOTBALL STATE FINALS TO REMAIN AT LUCAS OIL STADIUM

The Indiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. today announced a three-year presenting sponsorship agreement with the Indianapolis Colts that will result in the IHSAA Football State Finals remaining at Lucas Oil Stadium through the 2011-12 school year. The Indianapolis Colts will sponsor and support the entire Indiana high school football state tournament – including sectional, regional, and semi-state games across Indiana and culminating with the championship games at Lucas Oil Stadium. MOVIE HOME OF HICKORY HUSKERS HOSTS ALL-STAR DOUBLEHEADER

Knightstown’s Historic Hoosier Gym, movie home of the “Hoosiers” Hickory Huskers, is once again the site of the Hoosiers' Reunion All-Star Classic. This fourth annual girls'/boys' doubleheader will take place on Friday, June 5, 2009. The girls' game starts at 6:00 p.m. The boys' game follows at 8:00 p.m. (local Knightstown time). INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., November 11, 2008 - Two of the nation's top high school basketball players - Derrick Favors of Atlanta (Georgia) South Atlanta High School and Skylar Diggins of South Bend (Indiana) Washington High School - headline the four boys teams and four girls teams set to compete in the 2008 T-Mobile Invitational national high school basketball tournament.
