VYPE was on hand for these two events in Lucas Oil Stadium to present Academic Awards, in conjunction with SallieMae, to gridiron stars who work hard on the field and in the classroom. Winners were Christian Rector (Heritage Christian), Thomas Abner (Elwood), Michael Pearce (Shelbyville), Aaron Hoeing (Greensburg), Justin Sanders (Zionsville), Miguel Gonzalez (Lafayette Jeff), Eric Malm (Hamilton Southeastern), Harry Shepperson (Avon), Mike Bertram and Colin Hester (Ben Davis), Joe Brinkman and Ethan Cuevas (North Central), Zac Carroll and Derek Hart (Warren Central), Chris Read and Will Nolden (Lawrence North).
