On a relatively young and talented team, Shepherd , a senior, has been one solid constant for a Carmel team that will be looking to make a run deep into the state tournament this month. After leading the team in hits as a junior, Shepherd posted a .451 average with seven doubles, 16 RBI and 27 runs scored through May 12.
