On Thursday night, the Triton Central girls basketball team is sponsoring a "Pink Out" game to benefit breast cancer research. The event will take place at Triton Central High School as the Tigers host Shelby County rival New Palestine. All proceeds from the night will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. Triton Central players will wear special pink uniforms with the New Palestine players also participating. In addition, the Tigers will honor breast cancer survivors from the local community in-between the junior varsity and varsity games. There will be pink t-shirts, pink rally towels and pink ribbon-shaped cookies for sale during both games. The event begins at 6 p.m. with the honoring of cancer survivors at approximately 7 p.m. All fans planning to attend are encouraged to show their support by wearing pink.
