Brownsburg senior Tucker Barnhart signed his letter of intent to play baseball and attend Georgia Tech. Barnhart, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound catcher, was rated the top player in Indiana, according to PG Crosschecker. Overall, the senior was rated the fifth-best catcher in the nation and No. 84 high school prospect. Barnhart was named a 2008 Louisville Slugger High School All-American and was honorable mention All-American by Collegiate Baseball in 2007, the same year he partook in the prestigious East Coast Showcase. "Tucker has established himself as one of the top players due to going the extra mile in and out of season," Brownsburg coach Pat O'Neil said. "Tuck is like having another coach on the field." A four-year starter, Barnhart has carried a .415 batting average through three seasons. He is a two-time honorable mention all-state honoree and helped Brownsburg to a 22-5 record in 2008. He plays summer baseball with the Indiana Bulls.
