VYPE hits the gridiron

For the past 10 weeks, VYPE High School Sports Magazine has been there. Covering more than 1,000 miles and eating a multitude of hot dogs, VYPE has trekked across Central Indiana's gridiron landscape. This weekend, the tailgate tour, sponsored by VYPE, Marsh Supermarkets and WNDE 1260-AM, heads to Southport High School where the Class 5A No. 4 Cardinals play host to No. 13 Avon, in an all-or-nothing sectional semifinal showdown. Southport (9-1) has experienced a football resurgence this season, winning nine straight games and captured the Conference Indiana title with an undefeated run. Avon (8-2) is riding a six-game streak and is trying to work toward its first sectional title since 2005. The game begins at 7 p.m. The VYPE tailgate starts at 5:45 p.m. Make sure to swing by and say hello.
