Bentley can score, rebound and handle the ball. Overall, one of the state's best in class of 2009, a real blue-chip performer and a Big Ten Conference recruit. Blake Beasley, Sr., Decatur Central Height: 6-5 Position: Forward 2007-08 Statistics: 17.9 ppg, 10.1 rpg College Choice: Undecided An outstanding athlete that is somewhat overshadowed by others in the area. Beasley came into his own last season as both a scorer and rebounder, and he should excel at both. He's definitely a solid and versatile competitor. Kelly Faris, Sr., Heritage Christian Height: 5-11 Position: Forward/Guard (Wing) 2007-08 Statistics: 12.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg,5.2 apg College Choice: University of Connecticut By far, the smartest and most versatile player in the city, county and the state. She always makes her teammates better and has the makings of a potential Olympic player. Tommy Eggleston, Sr.,Heritage Christian Height: 6-4 Position: Forward/Guard (Wing) 2007-08 Statistics: 15 ppg, 3.5 rpg,2.5 apg College Choice: Undecided Eggleston is an excellent wing player, who can shoot from the perimeter with accuracy. He's a solid all-around player. He has the potential to average 20-points per game. DeAirra Goss, Sr., Ben Davis Height: 5-10 Position: Forward 2007-08 Statistics: 10.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg College Choice: Western Michigan University Goss is a tremendous defensive player. She is a top flight rebounder and double-figure producer and is capable of out scoring other teams. Considered an outstanding athlete, she can play inside or out. Aaron Evans, Sr., Roncalli Height: 6-2 Position: Guard 2007-08 Statistics: 18.9 ppg, 2.5 apg College Choice: Undecided Evans is truly underrated at the state level, but is well recognized as a top-talent in the Indianapolis Metro area. This senior is a tireless competitor, who gives 100 percent on the court, 100 percent of the time. She is a double-double performer and can also pass and defend with the best. Matt Kenney, Sr., Mooresville Height: 6-3 Position: Guard 2007-08 Statistics: 18.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.0 apg College Choice: Valparaiso University Kenney is one of the most athletic players statewide. He can score, rebound and pass. No one in the 2009 class has a quicker or more effective first-step or matches him as a penetrator. Lauren McRoberts, Sr., Carmel Height: 6-1 Position: Forward 2007-08 Statistics: 9.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.9 apg College Choice: Undecided Look for McRoberts to increase her scoring this year. She's a versatile performer capable of double-figure scoring and rebounding. The senior is an agile operator and passer for her size. She's comfortable on the perimeter as well as in the paint. Blake Metcalf, Sr., Plainfield Height: 6-9 Position: Center 2007-08 Statistics: 12.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg College Choice: Undecided Metcalf has a solid inside presence, he can both score and rebound. An inexorable competitor, the senior rebounds, defends and can also set screens and blocks shots well. Double-double scoring and rebounding is a real likelihood this year. Peck is a solid rebounder who can score. This senior has a huge upside, and figures to blossom this season. Sahm always gives 100 percent effort and is a consistent scorer with great court sense. Greg Rice, Sr., Ben Davis Height: 5-11 Position: Guard 2007-08 Statistics: 15.0 ppg, 3.0 apg College Choice: IUPUI Indianapolis Rice is one of top point guards in the state. He has excellent quickness and sees the floor well. The senior could average 20 points per game in addition to being a consistent distributor to his teammates. Aulani Sinclair, Sr., Eminence Height: 6-1 Position: Forward 2007-08 Statistics: 23.9 ppg,12.5 rpg College Choice: Indiana University Sinclair is possibly the best frontline player in the area. Her double-double statistics indicate that she is an excellent scorer and rebounder. Playing at the Class A level, she is a standout that is making strides for herself. Andrew Smith, Sr., Covenant Christian Height: 6-9 Position: Center 2007-08 Statistics: 14.5 ppg, 10.6 rpg,3.3 apg College Choice: Butler University Smith stayed under the radar until his recent commitment to Butler. The big man is a consistent scorer and rebounder. He's still improving and his best is yet to come. Paige Smith, Sr.,Hamilton Southeastern Height: 6-0 Position: Forward 2007-08 Statistics: 13.4 ppg, 8.0 rpg College Choice: Grand Valley State University She could easily be a double-double point and rebound producer this season. She's a true blue-collar performer, who makes blocking out and interior defense a priority. Stephan Van Treese, Sr.,Lawrence North Height: 6-9 Position: Center 2007-08 Statistics: 11.6 ppg, 10.0 rpg College Choice: University of Louisville He's versatile and can score inside and outside. Van Treese has good hands and is a good passer. The center has been saddled with great expectations since his days as a varsity freshman. Chrissy Steffen, Sr., Carmel Height: 5-11 Position: Guard 2007-08 Statistics: 19.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg College Choice: Bowling Green State University Steffen emerged as an outstanding backcourt performer during Carmel's 2008 4A state championship run. The senior plays at both ends of the floor, and rates as one of the top guards in the class of 2009.
