The Huskies, led by Zach Cherry, Ben Bowen, and Martin Garrison, took third in the boys division, while Caity Murdock helped the team attain sixth in the girls division, at the recent MIC. Cherry was an 11th place finisher at 17:32 while Bowen and Garrison quickly followed at 17:55 and 17:57, respectively, placing 14th and 15th. Other placers included Kevin Beery 19th in 18:11, Spencer Burgin 22nd in 18:21, A.J. Miller 23rd in 18:27 and David McDermand 26th in 18:53. The team scored 81 points to finish third behind Western (26) and Maconaquah (74). The girls were paced by Murdock, who won her second consecutive MIC title, running a 20:22. The Husky girls finished in sixth place with 134 points. Rebecca Frettinger took 33rd in 24:58, while Ashleigh Engle was 36th in 25:28, Haley Walden 36th in 25:32, Krista Burkhardt 39th in 25:54 and Emily Schildmeier 46th in 30:00.
