Terone Johnson, a 6-foot-2 guard from Indianapolis North Central High School has given his commitment to the Purdue Boilermakers. Largely considered as one of the top juniors in the country, Johnson is a pure shooter who averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, and four assists as a sophomore. Johnson also held offers from Butler and Cincinnati and had interest from Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, and Miami (FL). In 2010, Johnson will join other in-state kids from the 2009 class including Lawrence North forward Jeff Robinson, Franklin Central forward Patrick Bade, Indianapolis Cathedral swingman Kelsey Bartow, and Crawfordsville guard D.J. Byrd. Travis Carroll from Danville will join Johnson in the 2010 class.
