We do talk about the phrase "win or go home" and what that phrase exactly means. However, we focus on getting them to appreciate and understand the opportunity at hand; and to visualize the positives of winning rather than thinking about the negatives of losing.

We try to keep the routine as normal as possible. We also have a team meeting the Saturday before Sectionals to go over everything for the tournament.

With sectionals, the slate is wiped clean. Everyone starts out 0-0. It is an exciting time and we will stress to the girls that this is what we work all year for ... they should go out, play as hard as they can and leave it all on the floor. Whatever the end result, as long as we work hard, there will be no regrets!

We stress focus during the entire season. Hopefully by tournament time, they are able to focus on the moment and not the surrounding situation.
