Dollarway’s Grandy moves up
While the top 6 spots on this month’s VYPE Top 30 Arkansans remains unchanged, the rest of the list saw plenty of shuffling and plenty of prospects increasing their stock and ranking.
Prospects improve their ranking in the VYPE Top 30 Arkansans when a new scholarship offer comes in or when more schools begin showing more interest. Performances at camps and in games also is factored in to the overall projection.
Some of the more notable movers this month are Harrison’s Austin Tate up a spot to No. 7 and Dollarway’s Jesse Grandy up to No. 8. Lafayette County’s Rickey Hughey makes his debut in the top 10 after the talented athlete picked up an offer from Arkansas last month.
Northside tailback Semaj Edwards is up three spots to No. 11 while cross-town rival Daniel McGee, a tailback at Southside, also moves up three spots to No. 14. Pulaski Academy quarterback Spencer Keith jumps four spots to No. 21 and Shiloh Christian guard Nick O’Quinn makes his debut on the list. The Army pledge recently picked up a scholarship offer from Arkansas State.
The list will be released on VYPE.com only throughout the year on the 15th of each month. It's compiled by talking with several experts in the field such as recruiting services, recruiting reporters and the recruiters themselves about the overall stock of the prospect.
