The senior tailback was named VYPE Impact Player of the Game in Week 1 after rushing 26 times for 168 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-14 win against Greenwood. Brinker, a 6-foot, 200-pounder, made his longer runs late in the game and over the left side of line thanks to the blocking of guard Eli May, tackle Sam Henley and center Kent Woodard.
