VYPE/AAA Football Coaches’ Polls: Week 1

Some impressive performances caused shakeups in the VYPE/AAA Overall Coaches’ Poll. Little Rock Catholic wasn’t ranked in the preseason poll, but jumped to No. 6 this week with a 21-10 win against Southside Friday night. The Rebels, previously ranked No. 6 dropped out, as did No. 8 Pine Bluff, who was beaten 47-27 by Northside. The Grizzlies, unranked last week check in at No. 8. El Dorado moved to No. 9 after disposing of Camden Fairview 30-14, and Bryant debuts at No. 10 after a 38-7 win against rival Benton.



Bentonville remains No. 1 followed by Har-Ber and Shiloh Christian. Cabot jumps over Fayetteville to take No. 4 this week. Greenwood drops out after a 35-0 loss at Har-Ber. West Memphis leaves the Top 10 despite a 28-12 win against Forrest City.
