It's Official: Frazier to Shiloh Christian

Friday, June 13, 2008

VYPE's inaugural statewide football preview doesn't hit newsstands until June 23, but one glaring mistake already has been discovered. On West Fork's team page, the player pictured is sophomore sensation Kiehl Frazier. That was accurate when the preview went to press, but Frazier officially enrolled at Shiloh Christian this week, Saints football coach and athletic director Josh Floyd confirmed on Friday. Frazier, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback/safety, sported Shiloh Christian garb for a 7-on-7 tournament in Little Rock on Friday, but he is not participating in the event. Frazier and his family have moved into the school district leaving West Fork with Daniel Holiday, a two-year starter, at quarterback. Holiday led the Tigers to the state semifinals as a sophomore. "Anytime you lose a good player, it's going to hurt," Tigers first-year coach Rodney Selph said. "But Dan is a great quarterback and we're going to keep coaching the ones we've got and move on." After leading the junior high football team to a 9-1 record, Frazier then stepped in for injured West Fork starting quarterback Daniel Holiday and threw the team's only touchdown pass in a season-ending loss against Green Forest. Frazier also excelled in baseball and basketball for the Tigers' junior high squads last season. Central Arkansas editor Nate Olson contributed to this report.
