Malvern features the top defense in the 7-4A, giving up just 12 points per league game. Malvern senior defensive tackle Osha Johnson (6-2, 295) "is the top defensive lineman in the league and one of the best in the state," DeQueen coach Chris Vereen said. Junior lineman Grady Ollison (6-4, 240) improves weekly, while linebackers Kevin Bell and Devin Baugh top the tackle charts. Athletic junior James King leads Malvern in receptions and also lines up at quarterback, while junior running back Dontail Henson surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in last week's 20-7 loss to Nashville.
