Led by a host of Springdale Har-Ber Wildcats and Bentonville High Tigers, more than three dozen athletes signed National Letters of Intent to play on at the next level during National Signing Day February 6.

Five Tigers — Tyler Barnes, Anthony Blackmon, Patrick Mirch, Nathan Hughes and Keon Rucker — shared the spotlightin Bentonville, with Barnes inking to play at Arkansas State, Blackmon atvCentral Arkansas, Mirch at Baker University, Rucker at Southeastern OklahomavState and Hughes at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Jared Grigg and Josh Fohner will continue to be teammates at the University of Tulsa, with Grigg signing the first of a bevy of Wildcats to sign. Fohner will walk-on with the Golden Hurricane. Bryant Newell signed to play at Missouri Southern, joining a program that continues to build with top-quality talent from Northwest Arkansas.

Five other Wildcats will play on, and will be teammates in college. Receivers Derrick Sanders, Ethan Morris and Garrett Theiss, along with defensive back Tyler Proctor and nose-guard Keenan Williams all signed to play at Lincoln University.

Fort Smith Northside sent three of its state champion Grizzlies to the next level, with lineman Austin Eoff slated to wear Razorback red, defensive lineman Tim Starson signed with Arkansas State and wide receiver Anthony Johnson will take his talents to Arkansas Tech.

Greenwood’s “Three-Peaters,” led by all-everything quarterback Tyler Wilson, saw three Bulldogs sign to play at the collegiate level. Wilson cast his lot with the Razorbacks, while defensive lineman Travis Davis will play at HardingUniversity and wide receiver/linebacker Thomas Hollenbeck signed to play at Ouachita Baptist University.
